EDWARD STANLEY MILLER (Stanley) is an Australian native who spent most of his years in Australia 's Northern Territory , specifically, Darwin, but fell in love with Guam and decided to relocate here. He opened Stanley 's Liquor and Deli store during his birthday – October 10, 1997 . He chose to paint the building bright yellow with green trimmings, Australia 's sporting colors. Previously, no place in Guam "properly" stored or displayed fine wines from all over the world. Building "proper" wine racks was a tall order requiring personal, creative, and innovative handiwork.
Stanley , wanted to offer an international selection of beers, all in one location for the locals and the tourists - "another goal, now a reality". The store now carries beers from all over the world. Stanley , with his gregarious nature, enjoys making people happy, which prompted the addition of a Deli section. The white-haired, bearded Australian makes hot mustard, spreads it on homemade bread and with your choice of fresh sliced Deli Meats which is sure to please your palate. From basic meats and cheeses, the Deli now boasts of hard to find delights like pepperoni Kabanossi, Linguisa sausage, and Pistachio liverwurst among others.
Originally located at the former Route One Nightclub, on Marine Drive between Pizza Hut and the I.T.C Building, Stanley's Liquor and Deli Store is now located in San Vitores Road Tumon, next to the Acanta Mall.
